Yesterday afternoon I visited my field site. My field site was a large gathering of donks held weekly called Stunt Sundays on Memorial Drive in Atlanta. Every Sunday, donk riders from all over the metro area gather to show off their rides. Since this was my first time going to this event, I was skeptical of the environment. My perception was that it would be lots of loud music, vulgar language, and arguing. Conversely, while it was some loud music, it was very nice and peaceful. Since I wasn’t familiar with the preceding or people for that matter, I had my friend, who also has a collection of donks and is familiar with the event, show me around and introduced me to some people. Because of this connection, I was able to net work, get sum valuable information about my paper and actually sit inside a few donks. The donk riders used terminology like shell to describe the beauty of a vehicle. Lockin’ it down was a term that is synonymous with a burn out. I asked questions like how you got started with your fascination with cars and how would I gain membership into this culture.

Hamlet Jail Culture
I believe that this was an excellent field site for him to use, because the members of this field site are so willing to participate. It is also a good site to use. because the environment is friendly and the members of this subculture are willing to share everything.
That the members of this play feel as if they have some type of significant connection with the character that they are showing to everyone. He shows that the audience reacts positively to the performance even if they don't understand what is going on. They react, because they can feel the emotion that the members are putting into the play.
The norms of this group is to help each other get father and father along. The group also is known for giving its all when preforming.

Reflection:
I believe that this web post was the most helpful, because it really tells the most about the basis of the subculture that I have choosen. I really liked how the author went and described what the true meaning of a donk really was. They made it known that a donk was not just any car, but a Chevy(most preferably a Chevy Impala) set up on rims above 22 inches. What I found most interesting about the article was the part when they were saying that some people put their everything into making their car the best looking donk out there. It's like the people do all that just so they can show the world that they have the flashiest car around.
